As well as its fundamental role of providing access to world-class radio astronomy facilities, the ATNF regards itself as having an important educational role in the training of young astronomers and engineers. We therefore encourage graduate students to take up exciting projects related to radio astronomy and to join our Graduate Student program.
The ATNF offers graduate student projects in conjunction with Australian universities (listed here) and overseas universities. These projects (usually Ph.D., but often shorter Honours, Masters or pre-doctoral projects) will usually involve co-supervision by an ATNF staff member and a University supervisor.
