Editing the Correlator Schedule File

We now have a raw correlator file on elleba which needs more information added before it can be used. Appendix B shows an example schedule file with an explanation of what it all means. On the web, look at Warwick Wilson's document

Getting the parameters right in the schedule file for your experiment is one of the most important steps in correlating your data.

The sched file on elleba needs to be edited. On the VMS system on elleba, the usual editor is ``edt''. To do this, continuing with our example of v088d-3 (on the elleba DecTerm window);

elleba$ tosch
elleba$ edt v088d-3.sch
use arrow keys to move around, delete and type changes
elleba$ CTRL-z
elleba$ exit

Alternatively, you could ftp the file to another computer and operating system (eg Unix) for major changes with your favourite editor and ftp back.

Now, onto finding fringes and adjusting the delay settings.
