Hi everyone,
So far November 1-7 seems the best week for the first session but
this relies on Parkes starting their maintenance a tad late. John?

The 70m is due back in January. At this stage though the DSN schedule
doesn't go past the end of the year so it's impossible to nominate a
suitable week at the moment.
I wanted to avoid January for the reasons Tasso gives above.
There are enough proposals not requiring Tid that I could fill a week
in October/November without a problem.
My hope is that March is sufficiently far in the future that the DSN
schedulers will be able to move as much 70m time as possible into the
week we nominate.
Cheers,
Jim
