13th East Asian VLBI Workshop 2021: 2nd circulation (Revised)
*Updated [Invited Speakers]

[Dates]
Days 1 March 2, 2021: UTC 6:00-10:30 (Tue)
Days 2 March 3, 2021: UTC 6:00-10:30 (Wed)
Days 3 March 4, 2021: UTC 6:00-10:30 (Thr)
Days 4 March 5, 2021: UTC 6:00-10:30 (Fri)
[Rationale for Workshop]
After its first open call for observing proposals for the astronomical community in April 2018, East-Asian VLBI Network (EAVN) has been developed into an array of 14 telescopes (VLBI Exploration of Radio Astrometry (VERA), Korean VLBI Network (KVN), Tianma, Nanshan, Sheshan, Nobeyama, Takahagi, Hitachi, and Yamaguchi) with C-, K-, and Q- band as working frequencies. This advancement has opened up a new door to study a variety of astronomical objects/phenomenon e.g. Active Galactic Nuclei, Star Formation, Evolved Stars, Astrometry, Pulsars, Transients, Geodesy, etc. at improved spatial angular resolution and sensitivity as well as it has promoted the large programs of KaVA (KVN and VERA array). In the near future, EAVN is foreseen to expand with more stations to its network such as FAST, Kunming, and upcoming/planned radio telescopes/projects in South-East Asia such as 40m Thai National Radio Telescope (TNRT) in Thailand, 32m Jatiluhur in Indonesia, radio facilities in Malaysia.
Furthermore, these developments will help to accelerate worldwide new scientific collaborations and strengthen the existing ones and hence will pave the way for exchange of knowledge, technology transfer and human resource development with the use of major VLBI facilities e.g. VLBA, EVN, LBA, EHT (including JCMT/GLT), and SKA etc. It will also provide the new opportunity for observing at increased sensitivity, spatial angular resolution, and wide range of observable frequency.
In this workshop, we will not only discuss the fresh scientific results but also the latest update on developments for radio astronomy in South-East Asia and in the world to establish so-called a "Global VLBI Network" finally in the near future as a significant theme to develop the EAVN.
