MALT90 second-year data release

We are pleased to release the second-year data for the Millimetre Astronomy Legacy Team 90GHz (MALT90) survey.

MALT90 is a large international project aimed at characterizing high-mass dense cores. Exploiting the unique broad frequency range and OTF-mapping capabilities of the Mopra 22-m telescope, MALT90 will be the first systematic survey of several thousand dense cores in the southern sky at this frequency. When complete, MALT90 will be the largest database of molecular line emission toward high-mass star-forming cores.

The second data release comprises an additional 636 dense cores mapped during our second observing season (May - Sept 2011). In total, data toward 1135 high-mass dense cores are
now available. For each core, the data release includes processed (l,b,v) cubes and (l,b) moment and error maps for all 16 of the emission lines observed.
