Abstract

The first light of FAST is expected in Sep. of 2016. The progress of the construction of the telescope will be reported. I will also discuss a few recent publications and reports in FAST related science areas, including gravitational wave, pulsar survey, star formation, masers, etc. The call for papers for the upcoming FAST science special issue to be published in Research in "Astronomy and Astrophysics" will also be introduced.
