Public access to visitors centres

Our Parkes Observatory Visitors Centre, The Dish Café, outdoor viewing area and public toilets are now opened with physical distancing and other precautions in place.

The Visitors Centre is open 7 days a week from 8.30am to 4.15pm (including public holidays). To ensure the safety of our staff and visitors, we ask visitors to practice good hygiene and social distancing to reduce the risk of spread of Coronavirus in our community.

In addition, the following measures will be in place:

- Visitors who are feeling unwell or who have any cold- or flu-like symptoms will be asked to stay outside.
- Hand sanitiser will be available.
- Additional daily cleaning of high-touch areas will be conducted.

The Compact Array Visitors Centre remains closed until further notice.
