Free Astrophysics for Physics Teachers Workshop, April 4, 2008

We are running a one-day workshop for teachers of high school Physics on Friday 4th April at ATNF Headquarters, Marsfield. The workshop covers the content and pedagogy for teaching the Astrophysics option and Cosmic Engine core topic for the NSW Stage 6 HSC Physics course though will also be suitable for teachers in other states. Sessions include talks by professional astronomers on aspects of stellar evolution, cosmology and observing plus practical ideas for use in the classroom.

This year's workshop will be free for teachers but prior registration is essential. Participants are provided with a resource pack.
