Employment Opportunities - Visitors Centre Manager & Education Officer

The ATNF is seeking two highly motivated science communicators to maintain and develop its already high public profile through its Visitors Centres and public education program. The positions will be three-year term appointments, with a possibility of a further term.

MARSFIELD EDUCATION OFFICER
$51-$65K + superannuation
Ref: AT03/3

The Education officer will develop and support educational resources and outreach programs in astronomy and associated technologies, in particular for high-school students and teachers. The position will be based in Marsfield, Sydney.

VISITORS CENTRE MANAGER/COORDINATOR
$60-65K + superannuation
Ref: AT03/4

The Visitors Centre Manager/Coordinator will manage the day-to-day operations of the Parkes Visitors Centre and develop and coordinate all aspects of public outreach associated with the Visitors Centres at both the Parkes and Narrabri Observatories. The appointee will be based at the Parkes Observatory with regular short visits to Narrabri.
