High Dynamic Range Imaging Workshop

18:00-01:00 Fri 02 Dec 2005

ATNF Basement Meeting Room

High dynamic range images are not easily produced from radio interferometer data. Problems arise from, e.g., inaccuracies in the gridding of UV data, a lack of primary beam corrections, inaccurate estimates of spectral indices, etc. With both bandwidths and fields of view becoming much wider over the next few years, it is essential that these limitations are overcome, to fully explore the potential of future instruments. This workshop is dedicated to the exchange of ideas and concepts which have been developed around ATNF to improve the dynamic range of radio interferometer observations, with a focus on ATCA data.
