ATNF Supplementary Call for 2023OCTS
Following the postponed installation and commissioning of the BIGCAT correlator upgrade for ATCA, the telescope schedule now includes a substantial amount of available green time. Scheduled 2023OCT projects have been offered the option to enhance the timing of their allocations, but we are now also allowing for the submission of new filler project proposals (ATCA only) during January-March 2024. Projects do not need to respond to this supplementary call if a proposal was already submitted in response to the original 2023OCTS call for proposals.
Proposals should take the form of an email to atca-filler-2023octs@csiro.au, including two files:
- A one-page anonymised justification in pdf format; and
- An OPAL observation table.
The deadline for supplementary ATCA 2023OCTS proposals is 06:00 UT (17:00 Sydney local time) on Friday, 1 December 2023.

Reconfigurations will take place during Feb-March 2024. It is expected that at least half the time will be in a 6km configuration. Further considerations around ATCA status, as well as general ATNF information, can be found in the 2024APRS call for proposals.
