Space & Astronomy Graduate Student Program: external awards

The Astronomical Society of Australia sponsors a variety of prizes and awards that may be of interest to CASS co-supervised students. See the ASA webpages for an up-to-date list. Currently the following are available:
 

• The Bok prize for outstanding research in astronomy by an Honours or eligible Masters student
• The Charlene Heisler Prize for the most outstanding PhD thesis in Astronomy of closely related field.

Note that the ASA also provides limited student travel assistance to student members to allow them to attend national and international conferences.
