Hi everyone,
After feedback from most of you I've taken a stab at a revised
program. Here are the issues foremost in my mind:
1. Should Interstellar Matter and Young Stellar Objects be together on the
2nd day? This might make sense from the point of view of keeping the two
together, and also since these will be the longest sessions. On the other
hand, it extends the schedule until 5pm on Friday, which may start to
interfere with some people's travel plans.
2. On a related note, are we cramming in too much on the first day?
Are people going to be groggy having woken up for morning flights?
3. I have gone for discussion after each session rather than a long
workgroup session on Friday afternoon. This is partly because of the
(unexpectedly) large number of talks, and partly to focus discussion on
particular topics. I envision a table on a raised platform where the
speakers and one or two AT staff will be seated, and can discuss and field
questions about possible projects. Also, I think people will just
bolt if we schedule a long informal session at the end of the meeting.
4. Manpower issues to think about: session chairs and technical support.
