Greetings all,
We will have the final early science forum for 2018 tomorrow (one week later than usual due to a clash with the Australia Telescope Users Committee) at the usual time of 14:00 in Sydney, 03:00 UTC. Teleconference details can be found below.
I will give the usual status update, followed by David McConnell leading a discussion on our response to issues arising from the community workshop held in October, and Elaine Sadler leading a discussion on continuum source naming conventions for future ASKAP surveys.
For more information, please see https://confluence.csiro.au/display/askapsst/Early+Science+Forum
The latest ASKAP commissioning update newsletter describes recent commissioning activity and tests of science data processing software readiness for pilot surveys. It will be available soon from http://www.atnf.csiro.au/projects/askap/commissioning_update.html
I hope to see you all tomorrow,
Best regards,
Aidan.
