PULSE@Parkes: Application for an Observing Slot

Observing slots on the October 2020 - March 2021 Parkes schedule are now open for applications.

Please note that due to the current situation with COVID-19 we have now moved to remote online sessions.

We are now calling for expressions of interest for schools to observe for the following sessions with students in Years 10-12:

30 November 2020, 8, 24 February, 15 March 2021. In addition there will be a separate call for WA schools for a session at the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre on 18 February.

Expressions of interest close 16 October 2020. Please email to robert.hollow(at)csiro.au

These will be self-contained 3 hour sessions. Sessions may include students from more than one school. Sessions will be conducted using the secure Webex videoconference platform through CSIRO. We can accommodate a mix of students in the classroom and students calling in from home if required. With remote sessions we also have the option of delivering the background talk ahead of the session day.

We will be running a session for teacher interested in learning more about the program. This will run on Tuesday 23 February. Details on this will be provided soon but please send and email expressing your interest in this session.

Before completing and submitting your application please read the information provided on the Teacher FAQ page.
